Local marketing firm CBPR invites the community to an evening on the Terrace at the Harbour Club at WestEdge on Thursday, March 19, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., benefiting South Carolina nonprofit New Morning. Guests will enjoy complimentary bites and hear remarks from New Morning CEO Bonnie Kapp about the organization’s statewide impact.
Founded in 2022, New Morning provides simple, safe and affordable family planning services to women across the state. The nonprofit partners with health care providers, employers and communities to reduce unintended pregnancies and support workforce participation through voluntary contraceptive access.
A recent economic impact report from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business found that New Morning’s No Drama program generates between $22 and $66 in economic benefits for every $1 invested, resulting in an estimated $140 million to $430 million in annual net benefit to South Carolina. Since 2017, the program has enabled an estimated 11,500 to 12,300 additional women to remain in the workforce and contributed to up to 1,900 associate degrees and 500 bachelor’s degrees earned.
The event is free to attend, and advance registration through Eventbrite is encouraged.
