Carolina Children’s Charity will partner with Bohemian Bull for its annual Oyster Roast on Sunday, March 22, from 2 to 6 p.m. The event will take place in the restaurant’s Beer Garden at 1531 Folly Road and will feature live music, food and both silent and live auctions.
Tickets are $30 during a February flash sale ending Feb. 28, $35 in advance after that date and $40 on the day of the event, if available. Children 12 and younger are admitted free. Tickets include all-you-can-eat oysters, barbecue and sides. A cash bar will be available. Organizers encourage purchasing tickets in advance, as quantities are limited.
Live music will be provided by Late For Dinner and Albert & The Smoking Section. Community supporters may also participate in the online silent auction or attend the live auction in person.
Carolina Children’s Charity was formed in 1987 to assist local children diagnosed with birth defects or childhood diseases by helping them access medically beneficial or necessary items and services. According to the organization, it has provided more than $4.9 million in assistance to children in the Lowcountry since its founding.
Through grants from the charity, children have received support for traditional and nontraditional therapies, durable medical equipment, therapeutic equipment and medical care. Organizers say proceeds from the oyster roast will help continue funding grants for children facing unique medical challenges.
