This October, Burtons Grill & Bar in Mount Pleasant is resurrecting its “Killer Cocktails” tradition, a wickedly delicious ode to the Halloween season in liquid form. This year’s lineup features three cocktails, each festively decorated with touches ranging from spooky to sweet.
A nod to the witchy Sanderson sisters, the Hocus Pocus Spritz brings a summertime favorite into autumn with sparkling wine, Aperol, cranberry and lemon, complete with a spiderweb-topped stirrer.
The Nightmare on Bourbon Street evokes tales of New Orleans sorcery with bourbon, spiced apple cider and lemon, appropriately finished with a skeletal hand appearing to claw its way out of the grave.
Closing out the trio is The Great Pumpkin, a potion of vanilla vodka, coffee liqueur, pumpkin spice and cream, garnished with a pumpkin-shaped orange peel.
Each cocktail is $14.
