Thanksgiving is coming early to West Ashley as Edisto River Brewing Co. and Pepper’s Pressure Washing join forces for Birds & Brews, a community celebration that combines good food, good beer and a whole lot of goodwill.
On Sunday, Nov. 23, Pepper’s Pressure Washing will give away 150 free turkeys to Charleston-area residents — no sign-ups, no requirements, just a simple way to say thank you to the community that supports local businesses all year long.
“We wanted to do something that brings people together and spreads a little joy before the holidays,” said Kevin Pepper, owner of Pepper’s Pressure Washing. “Everyone’s welcome — this is our way of giving back and showing how thankful we are for our Charleston neighbors.”
While guests pick up their turkeys, they can enjoy craft beer, wine, seltzers and more from Edisto River Brewing Co., with a portion of all beer sales that day donated to the Lowcountry Food Bank.
“We loved the idea immediately,” said Mary and Jason White, owners of Edisto River Brewing Co. “Community is at the heart of everything we do, and this event captures that perfectly — celebrating together while helping others.”
Guests can also enjoy a taste of the South from the Genesis Bleu Water Soul Food Truck, along with live local music and the brewery’s family-friendly atmosphere.
