Each year during the Charleston Wine + Food festival, many local establishments host their own unofficial, or "fringe," events to coincidence with the celebration. This year, downtown Chinese restaurant Beautiful South will host one such event on Friday, March 7 from 2-4 p.m.
Along with their friends at Lady Edison Ham and Virgil Kaine, owners David & Tina Schuttenberg will host a Ham & Whisky Happy Hour at the restaurant (128 Columbus St.). The event will feature collab bites and cocktails, plus Lady Edison will be providing freshly-sliced samples of their famous Country Ham. Meanwhile Virgil Kaine will pour tastings.
This event is free and open to the public, including the above complimentary tastings and featured bites. Beautiful South's full happy hour menu, including the popular $10 cocktail and dumpling pairing, will also be available for purchase.
