Back-to-school season is expensive. Families will spend roughly $4,000 per student on school supplies and lunches this year, including about $3,800 on packed lunches alone, according to a new analysis covered by CBS News. The cost of a typical school lunch is up 11%, with everyday staples such as chicken breast up 9% and sandwich bread up 22%.
With this in mind, Logan's Roadhouse is reminding diners that its family meals — which serve four to six people and include a main dish, family-sized sides and a dozen made-from-scratch yeast rolls — will be 25% off from Aug. 24-30.
Options range from a 20-piece hand-breaded chicken tender meal to barbecue ribs and a grilled chicken dinner, with prices starting at $50 before the discount.
