In this 6-week course, students will learn classical watercolor brush handling in a downtown Charleston art gallery with one of the gallery's artists, Giselle Harrington. Giselle has been teaching adult painting and drawing since obtaining her MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She is a full-time watercolor painter, painting from life and focused on perfecting her use of the medium, that is: using efficient, clean washes while executing strong value and color designs. Students in this class will learn every aspect of brush handling, how to lay a strong wash, how to build a painting through planned-out washes glazed one on top of another, and paint mixing. This class is open to all levels, from beginners to more experienced painters seeking a stronger foundation
