This year, Public Works Art Center is thrilled to have a fundraising event that is accessible to every member of our community! We'll be blocking off West Richardson Avenue right in front of Public Works Art Center (from Short Central to Cedar Street) in Downtown Summerville and creating an immersive, fun art-filled experience for all ages. Think old-fashioned carnival with an artistic, energetic spirit, celebrating community, connection, and creativity!

There will be ART-THEMED GAMES, AN ARTISAN MARKET, COLORFUL TREATS, JUGGLERS, PERFORMERS OF ALL KINDS, AND SO MANY MORE SURPRISES! Even better, the event serves as our reception for our SPARK COMMUNITY EXHIBITION;

our extremely popular, all-ages annual show where every piece is accepted! Held on a Saturday morning in September while the farmer's market is happening just one block away, we anticipate a huge turnout for this unique, special event.

Our 2024 Block Party serves as the primary fundraiser for Public Works Art Center, raising money to support our operations throughout the year. Funding will allow us to continue offering free admission and ever-changing art activities to every visitor, continue providing accessible art studios and classes for all ages and abilities, and continue to partner with other local nonprofits to break down barriers to art for our entire community. Money raised will also support increasing our impact through free off-site art engagement opportunities throughout the Lowcountry.
