Having previously been a participant in the original CLS Wide Angle lunch series, it is a delight to celebrate Overcoming Obstacles Founder, Jill Siegal Chalsty, in her debut personal memoir, with the Library Society as her first stop on tour. Part travel memoir, part personal awakening, Packets of Hope: A Journey of Healing and Rediscovery is a call to live with intention, love through loss, and be a force for good in the world. When grief shattered her world, Jill boarded the Queen Anne on its maiden world voyage to find healing and purpose – and did so, through twenty-six ports of call across the globe. At every stop—be it the spiritual resilience of Tonga, the harsh beauty of Namibia, or the hopeful faces of children in China—she discovered intimate reflections, human connection, and her life’s mission to equip young people with essential life skills. All attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the book.
