We join the South Carolina Sestercentennial Commission community in celebrating Carolina Days at Middleton Place. We take today to recognize the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Ink & Quill Writing: Step into the shoes of the Founding Fathers with a hands-on ink and quill writing activity in the Museum from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Guests will have the opportunity to sign their names in the same location on a replica document where the original signers of the Declaration of Independence placed theirs.

Reading of the Declaration of Independence: Join us for a public reading of the Introduction and Preamble of the Declaration of Independence every 30-minutes from 11:00am to 1:30pm. Reflect on the powerful words that helped shape a new nation and continue to inspire generations today.
