Join us for Brewing Change: In Dorchester County – Coffee & Conversations

Trident United Way is launching a new quarterly series called Brewing Change: Coffee & Conversations, and the first event will be hosted in Dorchester County at Coastal Coffee Roasters—a beloved local gathering spot and community hub. This series is designed to spark meaningful discussions on the key issues affecting our region, offering a space to listen, connect and inspire action toward a stronger, more resilient community.

The first conversation will feature Joey Current, Trident United Way’s Director of Strategic Partnerships, leading a discussion about ALICE® (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) and the financial stability challenges facing hardworking families across the Tri-County area. Joey will share insights into the struggles and resilience of families experiencing hardship and explore ways we can collectively help build a more equitable community.

This casual, free event includes coffee, pastries and an opportunity to engage with neighbors and changemakers who are passionate about making a positive impact.

Each session of Brewing Change will be hosted at a different location across the Tri-County each quarter, so be on the lookout for upcoming events in your area!
