Youth Empowerment Services, Inc. (Y.E.S.) is inviting the community to put on their dancing shoes and come together for a cause that changes lives. On Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Y.E.S. will host its annual Dance-A-Thon fundraiser at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in North Charleston.
The high-energy, family-friendly event will bring the community together for an afternoon of dancing, entertainment and fun, all while raising critical funds to support Y.E.S. programs that empower, enrich and encourage young people throughout the Lowcountry and beyond.
This year, Y.E.S. has set a fundraising goal of $30,000, with proceeds directly supporting the organization’s mentoring, college preparation and youth development initiatives. All donations are tax deductible.
Since 1999, Y.E.S. has served more than 6,000 youth throughout the Tri-County area and across South Carolina through mentoring programs, conferences, college preparation activities and other initiatives designed to help young people reach their full potential.
“We have had the privilege of serving more than 6,000 young people through mentoring, conferences and college prep programs,” said Y.E.S. Founder Roslin Fields. “We are deeply grateful to the families who trust us with their children and to the dedicated volunteers and staff who pour their hearts into empowering, enriching and encouraging our youth. With government funding being reduced, we need our community’s support now more than ever to continue reaching hearts, teaching minds and changing lives.”

Y.E.S. programs include small-group mentoring, educational activities, college tours and outreach for middle and high school girls throughout Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties. The organization serves minority, underserved and disenfranchised girls, including those from low-income communities and group homes, providing meaningful opportunities that empower them to pursue healthy, productive futures.
In addition, the organization reaches more than 1,200 middle and high school girls annually throughout South Carolina and neighboring states through its Dream Girls Conference. The annual gathering provides participants with encouragement, impactful workshops, mentorship and connections to continued support through Y.E.S. programs.
The October 24 Dance-A-Thon gives the community an opportunity to have fun while investing directly in the next generation. Whether dancing, sponsoring a participant or making a donation, every contribution helps Y.E.S. continue its mission to reach hearts, teach minds and change lives.
