The Original Creator of Boone Hall Fright Nights transforms XscapeWorks Into "XscapeWorks Halloween," a Live-Actor Haunted Experience Unlike Anything Else in Charleston
XscapeWorks, known as Charleston's largest and most extreme escape room facility, is going even more extreme this fall with the launch of XscapeWorks Halloween, a fright-filled horror experience featuring live actors. The attraction will be open on select dates from Sept. 25 through Oct. 31 at 2430 Air Park Road in North Charleston.
By day, XscapeWorks will continue to operate as an escape room destination, offering four challenging, one-hour escape experiences: The Haunted Manor, Dragon Castle, The Cursed Tomb and Infected. No live actors are present during daytime hours.
But when the sun goes down, the entire facility transforms. XscapeWorks Halloween introduces live actors and additional terrors not seen at any other time of year, immersing guests in an original storyline: XscapeWorks' time machines, built for its escape game adventures, have caused a collision between our dimension and a far more sinister one.
Beings from that dimension have crossed over, seized control of the time machines and are now hurling guests into their world of terror. To escape and return home, guests must navigate more than 50 rooms and corridors of live-actor horror.
XscapeWorks Halloween is designed and produced by Trey Smith through his company, Smithworks Creative Arts. He and his wife, Traci, are the original creators of Boone Hall Fright Nights and now bring their signature creativity and intensity to a new location and story.
“We wanted to create a haunted experience that goes beyond a typical haunted house,” Smith said. “By combining the scale of our escape room facility with live actors and a 50-plus room journey, we're giving Charleston something it hasn't seen before.”
