From country and Americana to indie rock, soul, folk and bluegrass, the 13th Annual Wire & Wood Songwriters Festival returns to downtown Alpharetta on Friday and Saturday, October 9 and 10, 2026, with one of its most eclectic music lineups to date. More than 40 performances across six outdoor stages will spotlight nationally recognized artists and emerging talent, all united by one common thread--every performer is a songwriter sharing original music with festival audiences. Admission is free.
Country favorite Corey Smith headlines Friday evening, while platinum-selling rock band Sister Hazel closes the festival Saturday night. Throughout the weekend, audiences can discover an eclectic mix of nationally recognized artists alongside rising singer-songwriters.
Additional featured performers include Crystal Bowersox, Blair Crimmins & The Hookers, J.R. Moore of Ingram Hill, Liz Longley, Michael Tolcher & Friends, Kristina Murray, Spencer Thomas (formerly of Futurebirds), Cat Ridgeway, Caleb Caudle, Lily Grace and dozens more, representing an impressive cross-section of today's independent music scene.
“One of the best parts of Wire & Wood is watching people hear a song for the first time and connect with the story behind it,” said Morgan Rodgers, Director of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Services for the City of Alpharetta. “We’re fortunate to have a community that appreciates live, original music, and this festival is a great way to celebrate the talented artists who make it all happen.”
The festival's signature Listening Room returns Saturday, October 10, at Roaring Social with an intimate songwriter showcase featuring David Lowery, Angie Aparo and David Ryan Harris. The Listening Room is the festival's only ticketed event, offering fans a rare opportunity to experience these acclaimed songwriters in a limited-capacity indoor setting. Tickets are $30 and are on sale now at the festival website. All net proceeds benefit the City of Alpharetta's Music Match program, which supports live music throughout the community year-round.
Beyond the music, visitors can enjoy Alpharetta's vibrant downtown district featuring more than 50 restaurants, specialty retailers, public art and walkable gathering spaces. Festival merchandise will also be available throughout the weekend.

Free parking is available throughout downtown Alpharetta, and festival attendees are encouraged to bring portable lawn chairs for outdoor seating.
