Trudy B. Grant (pictured) has joined the advisory board of the AfroSouth Film Festival.
Held in Charleston, the AfroSouth Film Festival celebrates filmmakers and diverse sources of inspiration from the Lowcountry. The festival features film screenings, panels, workshops, youth programs, music and networking opportunities, all shaped by the region’s culture, arts, cuisine and hospitality.
This year’s festival will highlight filmmakers’ unique perspectives and stories, offering programs designed to encourage dialogue and collaboration. The 2026 event is scheduled for Oct. 8-10. Additional details will be announced as they become available.
