Congressman James E. Clyburn – Book Talk & Signing
- Congressman Clyburn will discuss his new book, The First Eight: A Personal History of the Pioneering Black Congressmen Who Shaped a Nation, highlighting trailblazing leaders who helped transform American democracy. A book signing will follow.

The Plantation Singers Spirituals Concert
- Enjoy a special performance by The Plantation Singers. The evening will also include a sweetgrass basket presentation, with items available for purchase.

Community Conversation: Greenhill Stories
- Join us for a Black History Month community conversation featuring long-time Greenhill residents sharing memories of growing up in the area. Founded in 1870 by freedman Hardy Green, Greenhill developed as a close-knit farming community with deep ties to Mount Pleasant and Charleston—and continues to thrive today.
Saturday, Feb. 28 | 3 p.m. | USS Yorktown
Black History Month Presentation with Lt. Col. Leo V. Williams III
- Lt. Col. Williams will share his story and the inspiration behind the naming of the Ford Expedition—a tribute to the Marines’ legacy of service and adventure.
