Redux Contemporary Art Center closes out summer 2026 with three exciting solo exhibitions showcasing the work of emerging and established contemporary artists. The public is invited to the free opening reception on Friday, Aug. 28, from 5 to 8 p.m.
In the Main Gallery, Blind Heat features the work of printmaker and illustrator Chadwick Tolley, who lives and works in Augusta, Georgia. Tolley's exhibition presents a dynamic collection of graphic screen prints that blend traditional drawing techniques with digital tools. Larger-scale works incorporate collage, screen printing and painting to create richly layered graphic compositions. To learn more about his work, follow @chadwick_tolley.
In Gallery 1056, Studio Artist Nick Kawczynski presents Big Bertha's Bait n' Tackle. The gallery will be transformed into a whimsical bait and tackle shop, complete with handmade fishing lures, rods and other custom creations, all infused with Kawczynski's signature illustrative style and offbeat humor. This marks his first solo exhibition at Redux. An artist mumble with Exhibition Director Maggie Jordan will take place Sept. 12 at 2 p.m. Follow @big_bertha_bait_n_tackle to join the fun.
In the Back Gallery, Lightning Resident Ellis Fox debuts their first solo exhibition following their summer residency at Redux. Cramped and Tangled features Fox's Creatures series, composed of mixed-media Pantone cards alongside original acrylic paintings. Through these works, Fox explores themes of social and bodily awkwardness, queer identity, and the intimate roles that animals and pets play in daily life. Follow them @sylk_worms.
All exhibitions and events are free and open to the public. Follow @reduxartcenter for updates on exhibitions, events and programming. We look forward to welcoming you to the galleries!
