The Mills House, Charleston’s iconic pink landmark, is welcoming guests and locals to celebrate the holiday season with a lineup of special events, festive dining experiences, and themed programming.
This year’s offerings include Thanksgiving and Christmas meals at Iron Rose, visits from Santa, an oyster roast, holiday card painting, the return of the “12 Cocktails of Christmas,” s’mores in the courtyard, and seasonal hotel packages.
Holiday Dining at Iron Rose
Thanksgiving at Iron Rose — Nov. 27
The Mills House is bringing back its Thanksgiving supper tradition with a grand buffet priced at $85 per adult and $35 per child. The menu features Prime Rib, Glazed Ham, and Turkey carving stations, along with Lowcountry-inspired sides such as Oyster Stew and Pickled Shrimp, and desserts including Pumpkin Pie Pot de Crème, Assorted Macarons, and Brown Butter Cake with Chantilly and Cranberry Pear Compote. Christmas at Iron Rose — Dec. 24–25
A prix fixe dinner menu will be served on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Offerings include Seared Scallops, Beef Tenderloin, and Ricotta Cavatelli, followed by desserts such as Spiced Date Cake and Citrus Meringue Tart. Guests can enhance the experience with one of Iron Rose’s 12 Cocktails of Christmas. The menu is $90 per adult and $35 per child. Reservations are available via Resy.
Holiday Brunch — Select Dates
Brunch will be served Dec. 24, 25, 26, 30, and 31, and Jan. 1. Menu highlights include Surf & Turf Eggs Benedict, Brioche French Toast, and Chicken & Waffles. Reservations can be made online.
New Year’s Eve at Iron Rose — Dec. 31
Guests can ring in 2026 with a menu featuring Local Oysters on the Half Shell, Wagyu Beef Tartare, and Butter Poached Lobster. A complimentary champagne toast will be offered at midnight. The prix fixe dinner is $95 per person with seatings from 5 to 11 p.m. Click here for reservations.

Oyster Roast — Nov. 29
The Iron Rose courtyard will host a Lowcountry oyster roast featuring complimentary oysters with the purchase of a specialty cocktail from Trinity River Distillery. Live music by the Shakin’ Martinis will run from 2 to 5 p.m.
12 Cocktails of Christmas — Launching Dec. 1
Iron Rose will debut a holiday-exclusive cocktail menu with “Naughty” and “Nice” selections. Drinks include the Polar Espresso and Jingle Juice. Full menu details are available online.
Holiday Card Painting with Rebecca Illustrated — Launching Dec. 1
Guests can create hand-painted holiday cards at Rebecca Illustrated, located on the hotel’s ground floor. The $15 kit includes a custom postcard, painting supplies, and a stamp. Finished cards can be dropped into the pink mailbox outside the shop for mailing. The station is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Visits From Santa — Dec. 7 and 21
Santa will visit The Black Door Café on Dec. 7 from 1 to 4 p.m., followed by a brunch appearance at Iron Rose on Dec. 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
S’mores in the Courtyard — Now Available
Guests can gather around the courtyard fireplace for complimentary s’mores every Friday through Sunday from 5 to 6 p.m. Click here for more info.

Holidays & Private Dining — Available Now
The Mills House is now offering “Events by Iron Rose,” a customizable private dining experience for events ranging from cocktail receptions to seated dinners for 30–200 guests. Venue options include the historic courtyard, Iron Rose’s private dining room, and full restaurant buyouts. A “Taste of Charleston” group menu highlights local staples such as Mini Tomato Pies, Pimento Cheese Deviled Eggs, a Grits Bar, Biscuit Bar, and Oyster Bar.
Southern Splendor Sale — Book by Dec. 1
The hotel is offering up to 35% off stays through March 9, 2026, for guests who book by Dec. 1.
