The Miller Gallery will present 1975, a vibrant solo exhibition by Georgia-based artist Angela Chrusciaki Blehm, opening Friday, Nov. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Known for her bold use of color and playful exploration of nostalgia, Blehm’s newest body of work takes viewers on a kaleidoscopic journey through five decades of pop culture, memory and desire. 1975 abstracts bits and pieces from 50 years of observations and obsessions — where roller rink lights meet disco dreams and the shimmer of Solid Gold dancers flickers across boxy television screens.
Through layers of painted pattern, texture and form, Blehm conjures a world that feels both deeply familiar and refreshingly new. The works invite viewers to reflect on their own timelines — to revisit the cultural touchstones, aesthetics and fascinations that have shaped who we are and what we love.
“Angela’s work radiates joy and self-awareness,” said the gallery team. “She captures not just an era, but the emotional pulse of nostalgia — how beauty, music and pop icons leave lasting imprints on our imagination.”
The public is invited to the opening reception Friday, Nov. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Miller Gallery to celebrate 1975 and immerse themselves in Blehm’s dazzling world of color, rhythm and memory.
