Tree Lighting + Veranda Lodge’s Debut
Celebrate the holiday season at The Loutrel on Friday, Dec. 5 at 5 p.m. for the annual tree lighting ceremony and the kickoff of The Veranda Lodge - their festive lobby takeover featuring a ski-inspired install of holiday décor and seasonal craft cocktails.
Enjoy a complimentary champagne toast paired with light bites, and soak in the cozy holiday atmosphere with live music. RSVP at the link here.
Tipsy Tinsel Trail
On Dec. 4, The Loutrel will launch their Tipsy Tinsel Trail – a holiday take on their cocktail passport program, highlighting six festive cocktails from neighboring bars and restaurants throughout downtown Charleston. The trail begins at the Veranda Lodge and takes guests on a tour of the lower peninsula with stops at Hank’s Seafood, Bar167, The Establishment and The Bar at The Spectator Hotel.
Guests can participate by picking up their ‘ski pass’ from the Veranda Lodge and ordering the signature cocktail at each participating location to collect a stamp. Participants who complete their pass and collect all six stamps by Jan. 4 will receive 50% off the Veranda Lounge’s signature cocktails throughout January and February 2026 and be entered for a chance to win a staycation at The Loutrel and an afternoon tea experience for four.
Holiday Tea Service
Throughout December, The Loutrel will also offer a holiday version of their popular afternoon tea, Lady Loutrel’s Holiday Tea Experience. Guests can expect a carefully curated selection of fresh local teas from Oliver Pluff & Co. (think Wassails and Spiced Ciders) accompanied by seasonal sweet and savory bites over three, traditional courses.
The holiday tea is offered Thursday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., from Dec. 7 to Jan. 5. Reservations are required and must be made at least one week in advance for groups of 4-8. Special bookings will be available for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. All bookings can be made here.
