New at The George:
The George Turns One!
- The George is celebrating their one-year anniversary in style on March 8, 2025. Since the opening of The George, the hotel has become a community hub for both locals and visitors alike, contributing to the expansion of historic Georgetown. Winyah Bay Boat Cruise with Hobcaw Barony Tour Returns
- The George will be relaunching their beloved Winyah Bay Boat Cruise with Hobcaw Barony Tour on Saturday, March 15.. The tour begins with a scenic pontoon boat ride across the Winyah Bay, followed by a private guided tour of Hobcaw Barony’s varied landscapes and centuries of history. The George will continue to offer tours every Saturday to follow, weather permitting.
CHI Design Indigo Classes with Caroline Harper
- The George is excited to be partnering with Caroline Harper of Chi Design Indigo for two pop-up classes held on-site at The George on April 5 and April 26. Guests will be guided through the process of dying indigo, learning a variety of techniques throughout the three-hour class.
Georgetown History Lessons with Historian Paige Sawyer
- On March 15 at 3 p.m., Paige Sawyer of the Old Georgetown Walking Tours will be on-site at The George for a brief history lesson followed by a Q&A session.
Golf Package
- Starting March 10, The George will be partnering with Wedgefield Country Club to offer a golf package to guests which includes a sleeve of branded golf balls and a day on the course for two people.
New at The Independent:
Launching Saturday Brunch
- Starting on Saturday, March 22, The Independent will be expanding their Sunday brunch offerings to Saturdays. Menu items include Southern classics such as corn bread, pimento cheese, crab cake benedict, shrimp and grits, and more. Breakfast cocktails include mimosa, Bloody Mary, and espresso martini, along with a build your own mimosa for four. Full menu linked HERE.
Happy Hour All Spring Long
- The Independent will be launching happy hour this spring starting on March 14! The menu will feature specialty cocktails from Bar Manager, Steven Burguiere, using ingredients sourced locally to create unique cocktails that highlight the flavors of Georgetown.
