The Charleston Place today announced its annual Easter Eggstravaganza will take place on Saturday, April 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year, the hotel will host a community-wide celebration featuring children’s activities, live bunnies and chicks, chocolate eggs, and a special appearance from the Easter Bunny.
The Palmetto Cafe will also host a lavish Easter Brunch on Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20, and Thoroughbred Club will host an Easter Afternoon Tea with the Easter Bunny on Sunday, April 20.
While there will be no official egg hunt at the hotel this year, the Easter Bunny will be riding around downtown Charleston in The Pink Figgy – a limited edition pink Figaro sportscar – handing out Easter eggs filled with candy and special prizes on Wednesday, April 16 and Thursday, April 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For hints on where the Easter Bunny will be downtown, follow The Charleston Place on Instagram at @thecharlestonplace. Stops will include White Point Gardens, Hampton Park Playground, and Rainbow Row.

The Easter Eggstravaganza at The Charleston Place begins on Saturday, April 19 at 11 a.m. Guests can take pictures with the Easter bunny and pet live bunnies, chicks, and ducks. There will also be an array of festivities for an additional fee this year, including a “build-your-own bouquet” flower bar for purchase and cocktails for purchase.
On Sunday, April 20 at 11 a.m., Thoroughbred Club will host a special Eater Afternoon Tea with the Easter Bunny. Guests and locals are invited to enjoy an afternoon of elevated offerings, featuring pastries and savory bites, and be among the first to experience the hotel’s custom tea blend, the Palmetto Peach. Adding to the excitement of the day, the Easter Bunny will be hopping by for special visits and photo opportunities. Reservations can be made on Resy.
On Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20, The Palmetto Cafe will host its popular Easter brunch, complete with stations serving Pimento Cheese Grits, Stuffed Lamb Loin with Baby rtichoke and Wild Mushrooms, Barrier Island Oysters, and Grilled Local Mahi Mahi with Salsa Verde. There will also be an assortment of freshly baked treats, including Challah Bread French Toast, Chocolate Croissants, and “Jimmy Red” Cornbread.
On both days, breakfast will be offered from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Charleston Grill followed by brunch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in The Palmetto Cafe. The Easter buffet is $125 per adult and $55 per child ages 3-12; children under the age of 3 are complimentary. Children’s activities will be offered during brunch on Sunday only.
