South of Broadway celebrates Valentine’s Day with Speed date, a fast-paced, short one-act comedy about a group of singles trying to navigate the unpredictable world of speed dating, where hilarious, awkward, and heartfelt encounters reveal the humor and humanity of trying to connect.
Letters/X is a hilarious, poignant -- sometimes raunchy -- collection of real breakups submitted by the public and adapted for the stage by Anthony Roberts, who also wrote the original songs inspired by submitted letters, text messages, voicemails, and other heartbreaking correspondence. SOBTC is proud to present the regional premiere of this long-running Chicago hit to Charleston audiences, and the public is invited to attend the Opening Night (Feb. 20 at 7:30 p.m.) post-show talk-back with show creator, Anthony Roberts!
Both shows are directed by Hanna Willis and star Peyton Collins, Andrew Williams, Nathan Biggart, Justin Verona, Hannah Welsh, Zoe-Ann Taylor, and Lorraine M. Delgado Amador.
