COLUMBIA – The South Carolina State Museum Foundation is proud to announce that it will host One Enchanted Evening, a black-tie fundraising gala on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the South Carolina State Museum. This fairy tale-inspired evening of elegance and celebration will bring together community leaders, philanthropists and museum supporters for an unforgettable night benefiting the museum’s mission and future.
Experience an evening where history, elegance and transformation align, at the South Carolina State Museum. Guests will enjoy delicious cuisine by Southern Way Catering, specialty cocktails from Pour Advice, music by Preach Jacobs, and dancing beneath the stars. Attendees will also receive after-hours access to the museum’s galleries, including the critically acclaimed exhibition Heroes & Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume, created by the Walt Disney Archives, which features 70 costumes from beloved characters such as Cinderella, Maleficent and more. The event will also feature a silent auction showcasing one-of-a-kind items and experiences from South Carolina businesses, plus a few enchanting surprises throughout the night.
“This will be an unforgettable evening, celebrating the vital role the museum plays in our community,” said State Museum Foundation Board chairman Geoffrey Hardee. “This special event will help ensure that the State Museum remains a dynamic and inspiring destination for generations to come.”
Funds raised through One Enchanted Evening Gala will support the South Carolina State Museum Foundation’s efforts to enhance museum exhibitions and programming, while advancing its ambitious Reimagine the Experience capital campaign to revitalize and transform the museum’s exhibition galleries.
