Basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal will bring his larger-than-life DJ Diesel show to North Charleston this fall as the headliner of Skinful Halloween, returning Saturday, Oct. 24, to Building 64 at Navy Yard Charleston.
Presented by and benefiting The Livity Foundation, the 21-and-up costume party will feature 20 musical acts across four stages, along with circus performers, performance artists, immersive activations and large-scale production throughout the 40,000-square-foot venue.
Since retiring from professional basketball, O'Neal has built a second career as DJ Diesel, performing at major music festivals and venues around the world, including Lollapalooza, EDC and Tomorrowland.
Joining DJ Diesel on the lineup are platinum-selling rapper Afroman, Houston hip-hop artist Riff Raff, Grammy-nominated Cuban funk artist Cimafunk, New Orleans Mardi Gras Indian rapper Flagboy Giz and comedian and hip-hop artist Space God da Thug.
"Bringing Shaq to Building 64 takes this already iconic event to another level," said David "Big Hair" Brisacher, founder of Building 64 and The Livity Foundation. "When you combine an incredible lineup, thousands of people in costume and this massive historic warehouse at Navy Yard Charleston as the backdrop, it doesn't get much better.
"But what makes this event more than a party is the purpose behind it. The money we raise supports cultural arts programming and organizations doing important work throughout the Lowcountry. Creating an unforgettable experience while making a meaningful impact is what Skinful has always been about."
