Point Hope Church, located at 3404 Turgot Lane in north Mount Pleasant, is offering a FREE Farmer’s Market and Kid’s Day on Saturday, April 5th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will feature vendors, live music, jump castle, an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m., kid’s snacks and crafts and more!
“We recognize this might be the busiest weekend in the Charleston area, so if you do not want to fight traffic this is an opportunity for some family fun supporting area farmers and local artisans right here in your backyard,” said Elizabeth Sullivan, pastor of Point Hope Church.
Point Hope Church has been a part of the north Mount Pleasant community for over 20 years, dedicated to faith, service, and outreach. Through initiatives like the farmer’s market, the church strives to promote physical and spiritual health.
“We believe that access to healthy, locally sourced food is a blessing,” said Nikki Street, volunteer organizer at Point Hope Church. “This market is more than just a place to shop—it’s an opportunity to build relationships, support local farmers, and care for our community in a meaningful way.”
Two more farmer’s markets are planned for Saturday, May 10 with adoptable pets from Meowdog Animal Rescue and Saturday, June 14.
Overflow parking is available at the Park West Recreation Center. From there, follow the path around the pond which will lead you directly to the church. Every Sunday, the church offers one blended worship service at 9:30 a.m. For more information, please call 843-971-6377 or visit the church’s website at www.pointhopechurch.org.
