Brittlebank Park in downtown Charleston will come alive on November 23rd, as Charleston Animal Society hosts Paws in the Park Presented by Crews Subaru. This year’s celebration marks a monumental milestone—the 150th anniversary of the organization’s legacy of care for animals and the community.
From noon to 4 pm, visitors can stroll through Brittlebank Park to discover fun zones designed to entertain and engage. The event will feature an interactive 150th Anniversary exhibit, a stage with live music performances, and an adoption zone where you can meet your next furry family member—all while enjoying a wide selection of food and drinks.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the gate, which include free oysters and chili. Back by popular demand, the Chili Cook-off will showcase 29 of Charleston’s best local restaurants and amazing local chefs competing for the title of chili champion. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample and vote for their favorites. Kids 12 and under are free. Not into chili or oysters? Other options like Smash City Burger and Cachitas will also be available.
For an additional $10, attendees can indulge in samples from nine local breweries in a commemorative glass, including popular favorites like Commonhouse, New Realm, Palmetto, and Munkle Brewing.
Live music will be provided by Vallenato Flavor, Lauren Hall, and Midnight City Band.
