Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum will allow visitors to name their admission price every Saturday in January during the museum’s “Pay What You Can” days.
A budget-friendly tradition for families after the holidays, this year the promotion also gives guests the opportunity to explore new exhibits, including Charting 50 Years, showcasing 50 years of museum history, and Apollo 8, which examines the mission and the USS Yorktown’s role in the recovery.
“History belongs to all of us,” said Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum Executive Director Allison Hunt. “’Pay What You Can’ Days ensure that everyone has the opportunity to experience Patriots Point, engage with the stories preserved here, and reflect on the values that continue to unite our community.”
Pay-What-You-Can purchases must be made at the ticket booth. The standard museum admission rate is $30 for adults (ages 13-61); children under six are free. Each admission ticket includes access to the historic USS Yorktown, USS Laffey, Medal of Honor Museum, and Vietnam Experience. Parking is not included; standard rates apply.
