The Point’s annual Party With a Purpose fundraiser returns Saturday, Sept. 12, at Founders Hall at Charles Towne Landing, bringing together Charleston restaurants, local drinks, shopping, live music and raffles to raise money for women across the Lowcountry.
General admission begins at 5 p.m., with VIP early access beginning at 4 p.m. The event runs through 8 p.m., and tickets are still available.
Party With a Purpose brings together Lowcountry restaurants, beverage partners and local businesses for an evening designed around one goal: raising funds for women in the Charleston community.
Guests will enjoy tastes from a lineup of Charleston-area restaurants and culinary partners, including Wild Olive, Magnolias, Slightly North of Broad, The Darling Oyster Bar, Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint, Swig & Swine, Cru Café Catering, 26 Divine and more.
The evening will also feature local beer, wine and spirits; live music by Alyce with Me and Mr. Jones; local shopping; VIP experiences; watercolor portraits; raffles; and opportunities to give directly to The Point’s mission.
While Party With a Purpose is designed to be a fun night out, the event also raises money for local causes.
The Point is a Charleston-area women’s organization that raises and distributes funds to nonprofit organizations serving women in need throughout the Lowcountry. Since its founding in 2006, The Point has given more than $1 million back to the community.
Breast health is at the heart of Party With a Purpose, with Share Our Suzy Lowcountry serving as The Point’s primary breast health partner. The Point also supports nonprofit partners addressing needs ranging from access to health care and food assistance to postpartum support, recovery services, housing and support for first responders.
Guests will have opportunities throughout the evening to learn more about that impact and directly support the organizations and people behind the mission.
Party With a Purpose will also feature several major raffle experiences, including a four-night luxury getaway to Turks and Caicos, a one-week beachfront stay on Edisto Beach, a private two-hour sightseeing flight for two, a private chef experience, concert tickets and additional packages donated by local businesses and supporters.
VIP guests can arrive beginning at 4 p.m. for early access and specialty experiences, including a bourbon tasting and a cocktail-focused class featuring High Wire Distilling Co.’s Jimmy Red spirits, accompanied by cigars, barbecue bites and sweets.
“This event is about bringing people together for a great night while making a very real difference for women in our own community,” The Point said. “Every ticket purchased, every raffle entered and every donation made helps us continue that work.”
