The Palmetto Choral Collective announces its spring concert, which will take place April 19, 2026, at 4 p.m. The concert theme is “Rooted: A Musical Journey of Groundedness and Growth” and will feature choral works performed by both its youth choir and adult choir.
This family-friendly event celebrates themes of nature, family and home, as well as the symbolism of trees to inspire growth, deepen roots, encourage creativity and reach new heights.
The choirs will be joined by a musical ensemble:
- Bill Gesin (principal accompanist), piano
- Donald Whitley (Noodle McDoodle), guitar and banjo
- John F. Kennedy Jr., bass
- Jacob Henley and Cameron Ballinger, percussion
- Surprise guest, violin

Palmetto Choral Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers inclusive, secular, audition-free community choirs for youth and adults, where every voice is valued, empowered and inspired to shine. The group performs a diverse repertoire in concerts and collaborative performances throughout the Charleston area.
