Old Crow Medicine Show will bring its high-energy Americana sound to the Charleston Gaillard Center on April 1, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m.
The Grammy-winning band first formed in 1998 and started out busking on street corners throughout New York and Canada, gradually building a following with spirited performances and a signature blend of folk, roots and old-time music. Their big break came after folk legend Doc Watson discovered the group playing in Boone, N.C., and invited them to perform at his celebrated MerleFest—an appearance that helped launch the band into national recognition.
More than two decades later, Old Crow Medicine Show has become one of Americana’s most enduring names. The group is an official member of the Grand Ole Opry and has earned two Grammy Awards, including “Best Folk Album” for Remedy in 2014 and “Best Long Form Music Video” for Big Easy Express in 2013. Their modern classic, “Wagon Wheel,” reached RIAA double-platinum status in 2019, while their debut album O.C.M.S. has been certified gold.
The band’s most recent release, Jubilee (August 2023), earned a Grammy nomination and further cemented its reputation as a force in contemporary roots music.
