Ohm Radio 96.3 FM, in partnership with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, The Green Heart Project and the Charleston Housing Authority, will present Brass on the Grass at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4.
The free outdoor concert will be held at the Urban Farm at Enston Home, located at the corner of King and Huger streets in downtown Charleston.
The event will feature the Charleston Symphony Brass Quintet performing polkas and other brass music as part of an Oktoberfest-inspired community celebration.
Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for the informal neighborhood concert. Refreshments will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting Ohm Radio, Charleston’s only nonprofit community radio station.
Brass on the Grass is part of Ohm Radio’s effort to bring live, local music and cultural programming beyond the studio and directly into Charleston neighborhoods while highlighting the artists, organizations and community partners that contribute to the city’s creative culture.
The event is free and open to the public.
