American Gardens, located at 174 King St. between King and Meeting streets, has announced its fall calendar of free, family-friendly programming for the Charleston community.
With programming nearly every day of the week, the fall lineup gives neighbors and visitors plenty of reasons to gather downtown. Highlights include the return of Sunday Market, a curated open-air market featuring local flower farms and food vendors, and the debut of Movie Night in the Park.
The season will also continue American Gardens' regular programming, including the coffee cart, Qigong sessions, live music, story time on the green and wellness classes.
Movie Night in the Park Debuts
New this fall, American Gardens will host Movie Night in the Park every Thursday evening from Sept. 3 through Oct. 29. The screenings are free, with concessions available for purchase before each showing.
Vendors include Holy City Popcorn, Pure Fluff, Jack's Twisted Soft Pretzels, Dolce Vita CHS and Lowcountry Lemonade. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for an evening under the stars.

Sunday Market Returns
After debuting as the Sunday Bazaar in summer 2026 and taking a short break, American Gardens' Sunday farmers and floral market returns Sept. 13 under a new name: Sunday Market.
Running from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. through Nov. 8, the market will once again feature a curated selection of local vendors, including Ambrose Farms, Charleston Spice Company, The Golden Citrus, King of Pops, Meeting Green, Olinda's Olives & Olive Oil, Queen & Comb, Sorelle and Urb Farm.
A Full Season in the Park
Sunday Market and movie nights join the park's regular calendar of programming, including:
- American Gardens Coffee Cart — Wednesday through Sunday
- Books on the Green — A children's story time with Charleston Library Society and Buxton Books, Tuesdays and Saturdays
- Qigong in the Park — Thursday mornings
- Music in the Park — Live local artists on weekend afternoons
- Sculpt with Jane DO — The third Wednesday of each month
- Silent Reading — A monthly gathering with Charleston Literary Festival on the first Wednesday of each month
Beemok Hospitality Collection opened American Gardens in November 2025 as a place for community gatherings, turning a former parking lot into nearly an acre of green space. Since then, the park has become a fixture of downtown Charleston's daily rhythm, welcoming neighbors and visitors with community programming throughout the year.
