The holiday season is just around the corner, and Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is set to make spirits bright with its annual Lights Up celebration on Saturday, Nov. 22, beginning at 6 p.m.
This free community event will feature live performances by the East Cooper Baptist Church Choir & Orchestra and local favorite 40 Years Too Late. Guests can enjoy food and beverages from local vendors, including Burtons Grill & Bar, Zimos Gyros, Holy City Popcorn, MacDaddy, & Lobster, Crazy Chris’ Concessions, Delights Desserts & Coffee, Holy City Homemade Italian Ice, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Pure Fluff Co.
Families can take part in festive activities such as face painting by Faces by Faith, balloon art by Carol’s Balloon Art, fairy hair by The Sparkle Bar, and, of course, a visit from Santa Claus.
The highlight of the evening will take place at 7:30 p.m. with the lighting of Towne Centre’s 44-foot Christmas tree followed by a spectacular laser light show.
This year’s celebration will once again support Camp Rise Above, a local nonprofit that provides camp experiences for children with serious illnesses, disabilities, and life challenges. Volunteers from the organization will be on site selling light-up accessories, with all proceeds benefiting the charity.
The evening will be hosted by Brian Cleary of 92.5 Kickin’ Country.
