Mount Pleasant Towne Centre and Charleston Animal Society are once again teaming up to host the cutest football game around, Pup Bowl VIII, on Saturday, Feb. 8, from noon to 3 p.m. This annual puppy adoption event and family fun day, complete with live music, kids activities, local food truck and beverage vendors, and more, will take place at Towne Centre’s The Oaks, across from Barnes & Noble.
Tickets to Pup Bowl VIII are $10 per person (and free for children under 12), and 100% of all ticket entry fees will be donated to Charleston Animal Society. The event will kick off with a performance of the national anthem by a student of Bach to Rock and the Lucy Beckham High School Pep Band. Guests won’t want to miss the halftime performance by Sons a Pitches, who will perform a seasoned blend of blues, country, R&B and Americana. Guests can also enjoy snacks from Zimos Gyros, Taternator, Delights Desserts & Coffee, Crazy Chris’s Concessions, Nothing Bundt Cakes and Holy City Popcorn, plus beer and wine from Burtons Grill & Bar.
All adopters will be entered to win a $500 gift certificate to Park West Veterinary Associates, which can be used towards their new pup’s first wellness visit, recommended testing and deworming, recommended vaccinations and more.
