The Miller Gallery today announced "Feels Like Summer," a "sun-soaked celebration of nostalgia, glamour, and pop-inspired play." The exhibit will debut with an opening reception on June 6, 2025 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturated with sunshine and dripping in charm, Feels Like Summer brings the golden glow of memory to life with a playful twist of Palm Beach glamour. The exhibition features new works by Suzy Lindow, Olivia Bonilla, and Emily Furr—each capturing the essence of summers past through bold color, vibrant texture, and pop-infused nostalgia.
Step into a world of beach babes and dripping ice cream, yellow stripes and whimsical palms—a dreamy escape filled with carefree leisure, sugary delights, and vintage-cool elegance.
- Suzy Lindow creates bold, pattern-rich paintings inspired by vintage textiles, folk art, and handmade traditions. A self-taught artist based in Coastal Virginia, her vibrant, offbeat works have led to collaborations with Anthropologie and features in HGTV, Domino, and more.
- Olivia Bonilla, a painter and sculptor based in Charleston, transforms materials like cement and resin into playful, candy-like forms. Her work explores nostalgia through texture and color, and has been featured in Vogue Portugal, House Beautiful, and the Affordable Art Fair in NYC.
- Emily Furr is a Charleston-based artist whose sculptural oil paintings embrace shape, sentimentality, and playful color. Working on layered, shaped panels, her work evokes dreamlike memories through tactile, narrative-driven forms.
Whether you’re craving a hit of pure color or reminiscing about those perfect poolside afternoons, Feels Like Summer invites you to dive into the sweet, sparkling heart of the season.
To top it all off, we’ll be serving King of Pops popsicles during the opening—because nothing says summer like something cold, bright, and a little bit fun. All are welcome!
