Meyer Vogl Gallery’s 2026 Exhibition Program marks ten years of exhibiting contemporary artists and building a creative community rooted in connection, curiosity, and care.
“In 2026, Meyer Vogl Gallery turns 10,” says Katie Geer, gallery director and co-owner. “Anyone who has a small business knows that 10 is no small feat. We have poured our heart and souls into this little art gallery; it is our child, our parent, our best friend (and sometimes enemy?), our home, our everything. The artists we represent have become our family, and we hope to honor them with this exciting line-up of exhibitions.”
The 2026 exhibition calendar reflects both the gallery’s history and its continued evolution, featuring a mix of solo exhibitions and a special anniversary group show that honors the artists at the heart of Meyer Vogl Gallery.
March 2026
- Melanie Parke | Solo Exhibition
- Nectar Collector
- Opening: March 6, 2026
- On view through March 26, 2026
“Today, Melanie Parke is a part of our gallery DNA,” says Geer. “Most of the collectors we work with know and admire her work.”
“To acknowledge her importance to the gallery is wildly wonderful – when we first opened 10 years ago, she was one of those ‘reach’ artists I dreamed of working with. I'll never forget receiving an email response from Melanie in 2019, after I invited her to be part of a group show: She said yes, and I squealed and danced and pinched myself.”
Parke lives and works in Arcadia, Michigan. Her lush paintings combine landscape, interior, and still life elements. Nectar Collector marks her second solo exhibition with Meyer Vogl Gallery.
March–April 2026
- Love Languages | 10-Year Anniversary Group Exhibition
- Opening: March 27, 2026
- On view through April 17, 2026
To celebrate ten years, Meyer Vogl Gallery presents Love Languages, a group exhibition featuring one 10 x 10 inch work from each gallery artist.
“We asked each gallery artist to submit one piece each, with the only requirements being that it is 10x10 inches and that it pays homage to one of their ‘love languages’,” Geer says. “I use ‘love languages’ loosely — not like the 5 that we always hear about, but a much more personal interpretation. For example, an artist's love language may be the color phthalo blue, or cloudy days, or a field of wildflowers.”
There will be more than 25 artists from around the world participating in the exhibition.
May 2026
- Marissa Vogl | Solo Exhibition
“It has been an honor of my lifetime to be by Marissa Vogl's side for the past 10 years, watching her grow into the artist she is today,” Geer says. “She's always been a ‘color whisperer,’ as color is like a second language to her. She understands color on an extremely intuitive and genius level. But in addition to that, she's developed a very strong abstract practice, and her work is coveted by collectors across the world. All the while, she manages to have fun and not take herself too seriously.”
June 2026
- Wild. Flowers. | Group Exhibition
- Artists include: Mac Ball, Anne Blair Brown, Diane Eugster, and more
“For this show, the artist can take inspiration from the word ‘wild,’ ‘flower,’ or ‘wildflower’,” Geer says. “This is an homage to the state of being wild, wildflowers, or florals in general.”
September 2026
- Marc Hanson | Solo Exhibition
For Marc Hanson’s first official solo exhibition at Meyer Vogl Gallery, he has decided to focus on the practice of painting contre-jour, or painting the landscape or subject against the light.
“I love to work this way as it creates some drama, even in less than dramatic situations, and it’s a way of painting that lets me take any landscape and make it something beyond just the subject lit by frontal or three quarter light,” Hanson says. “I think it would be an interesting show to see personally, and one that I’m loving to paint.”
October 2026
- Laurie Meyer | Solo Exhibition
“It isn't Fall in Charleston without a Laurie Meyer solo exhibition,” Geer says. “This one feels extra special, as we are also celebrating our 10-year anniversary as a gallery this year.”
No matter what the subject — be it a landscape, floral, figurative, or architectural — light is the most important part of every Laurie Meyer painting, and the way light plays with the subject adds drama.
November 2026
- Glory Day | Solo Exhibition
“Oh, Glory Day! How you continue to surprise us and delight us,” Geer says. “A true creative, Glory is a painter, a woodworker, a ceramist, a musician, a colorist. She is also a wonderful human being. For this exhibition, we're expecting a mish-mash of all her creative talents, and we're expecting to see exciting new directions in her work.”
This will be Day’s second solo exhibition with Meyer Vogl Gallery.
December 2026
- Carlos San Millán | Solo Exhibition
Spanish painter Carlos San Millán's interior paintings and landscapes invite viewers into a dream world, where untidy corners and overgrown gardens feel familiar in an enchanting (perhaps even a little haunting) way.
“This is our second solo exhibition for this magician out of Spain,” Geer says. “I call him a magician because he is able to transport viewers to a place they may not be able to quite put their fingers on — but a place they know with all of their heart.”
San Millán continues to live and work in Spain, painting from direct observation and from places he knows well.
