Mermaids will bring waves of magic to the South Carolina Aquarium each weekend in February, offering guests of all ages a chance to experience marine mythology paired with ocean conservation.
Visitors can come face-to-face with mermaids during special programming that blends storytelling with real-world conservation messages. The experience also includes a themed scavenger hunt, a mermaid photo opportunity and other interactive activities designed to engage young ocean explorers and families.
Mermaids will be swimming at the aquarium on Feb. 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22 and 28, as well as March 1. The experience is included with the price of general admission. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets early to secure the best price.
Aquarium members will also have access to an exclusive, members-only mermaid event. During the special program, children can create mermaid crowns and necklaces, enjoy face painting, participate in a private photo opportunity with a mermaid and take part in other themed activities. Each session is limited to 15 member children to ensure an immersive experience. Tickets for the members-only event are $65 per child.
