Local Indie-psych artist Casey Wells’ upcoming single "Beating Heart" is a mesmerizing blend of psychedelic pop and electronica that showcases his signature atmospheric sound. The single will be available on all streaming platforms Jan. 15.
Following the success of his debut album Impermanence, Wells continues to build his musical narrative with "Beating Heart." The track features a deep, pulsing synth and catchy melodic hooks, creating an enchanting and hypnotic soundscape that is both introspective and captivating.
"Beating Heart" reflects Casey’s ability to blend lush atmospheres with a pop-driven approach to songwriting. His introspective lyrics and evocative melodies invite listeners into a world of reflection and emotional depth, making "Beating Heart" arguably his most ambitious work yet.
Casey Wells shared his thoughts on the new release: "Beating Heart is about having to pull yourself away from a situation after seeking closure. It’s the timeless battle between the head and the heart, except it’s to the point where the head is having an intervention with the heart."
Casey will also be performing at Tin Roof in West Ashley on Sunday Jan. 25 to showcase his new single. The show is free and doors are at 7:30 p.m.
