Coming to the North Charleston Coliseum in the upcoming month of April 2025 will be phenomenal concerts by internationally known Grammy award-winning performers Fantasia Barrino and Anthony Hamilton, the 1980s group Chicago, and the 1960s famous soul singer Gladys Knight. The setting of these exciting spring concerts will be the North Charleston Coliseum, which is in a beautiful area of the Lowcountry and Charleston metro area. This area truly has wonderful restaurants and hotels, like the North Charleston Residence Inn.
Fantasia and Anthony Hamilton will perform at the North Charleston Coliseum on April 4th. On May 26th, 2004, Fantasia, at 19 years old, was the youngest winner of American Idol at the time. Judge Simon Cowell praised Fantasia's star quality and her "amazing ability to not be afraid of being emotional" and praised her "mass likeability." Fantasia's many top Billboard hits include "Truth Is," "Believer," and "Lose to Win."
And singer Anthony Hamilton will join Fantasia on stage on April 6th. Hamilton's recent hits include "Alone A Lot," "Back Together," and "You Made a Fool Out of Me."
The 1980s group Chicago will also perform at the North Charleston Coliseum on April 16th. This Blues group has been around since 1967 and became very famous during 1983. The group Chicago's many hits include "Hard to Say I'm Sorry," "You're the Inspiration," and "If You Leave Me Now." Founding member Robert Lamm said about the band's longevity and being able to still be together for so long, "We've always had a general fondness for each other and respect for each other's musicianship."
Also coming to the North Charleston Coliseum stage on April 22nd is the great 1960s soul singer Gladys Knight. Gladys Knight has been around a long time and is still going strong. Her group, Gladys Knight and the Pips, made some legendary hits over the years. These include "Midnight Train to Georgia," "You're the Only One," "Make Yours a Happy Home," and "Love Overboard." The actress Phylicia Rashad once said that the singer Gladys Knight is "a part of my heart" and that her journey would be different without Gladys Knight's contribution to society.
