Ladybird Books (299 King St.) announced they will host Chassity Evans to celebrate the publication of her debut novel, “Pink Sand Summer,” on Tuesday, May 12, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The evening will include remarks from Evans, along with a book signing and time for guests to connect.
Set on Harbour Island in the Bahamas, “Pink Sand Summer” follows Lucy as she returns to the island after inheriting her grandmother’s home, hoping to rediscover her creative spark. As she navigates a season filled with friendship, late nights and personal reflection, she finds herself caught between two relationships that challenge her sense of self and future. Against a backdrop of tropical beauty and unexpected revelations, the novel explores love, identity and the choices that shape a life.
Evans is a longtime lifestyle creative known for her warm, detail-rich storytelling and her joyful approach to life. After years of sharing books, travel and personal reflections with her audience, she brings that same perspective to her fiction. She splits her time between Charleston and Harbour Island with her husband and two children.
