This summer, Charleston Stage invites families and fans of all ages to dive into the hilarious world of middle school misadventures with Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical, playing July 19th, 20th, 26th, and 27th at the Historic Dock Street Theatre. Based on the #1 international bestselling book series by Jeff Kinney, this high-energy musical adaptation brings everyone’s favorite wimp, Greg Heffley, to life in a laugh-out-loud journey through the trials and tribulations of pre-teen life.
Greg has big plans to become rich and famous—he just has to survive middle school first. With catchy songs, fast-paced action, and heartwarming moments, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical captures the relatable awkwardness and growing pains of adolescence, all with a comedic twist. Whether you're a long-time fan of the books or discovering Greg's world for the first time, this show is the perfect summertime treat for the whole family.
Directed and choreographed by Charleston Stage’s Director of Education and Engagement, Rylee Coppel, Music Directed by Resident Music Director, Michael Lopez, and performed by a talented cast made up of Charleston Stage's Resident Acting Company, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical is sure to delight audiences with its humor, heart, and unforgettable characters.

All performances will be held at the Historic Dock Street Theatre, 135 Church Street, Charleston, SC.
New Lower Family Series Ticket Pricing:
Tickets are $40.25 for Adults/Seniors and $20.25 for Students (ages 3–25) and can be purchased online at CharlestonStage.com/diary or by calling the Box Office at (843) 577-7183. Ticket prices listed above include a $5.25 seat tax and processing fee. Please note that "Babes-in-Arms" are permitted for Family Series performances. Children ages 3 and up still require their own ticket to attend.
