Singer and guitarist Jared Petteys today released his new garage rock song, “Hitting The Ground.” It is available on all major streaming platforms.
Petteys is launching his solo project after years fronting Jared Petteys & The Headliners.
“Hitting The Ground” features:
- Russell Lee (drums)
- Jeff Moon (bass)
- Mixed by Eric Rickert
- Mastered by Michael White
A lyric video for the song was also released on YouTube (see below).
Petteys is a Gretsch Guitars Spotlight Artist who’s performed alongside musicians like Reverend Horton Heat, Lee Rocker of the Stray Cats, Southern Culture on the Skids, and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
He’s also a finalist in the global Rockabilly Rumble Songwriting Contest, a Charleston City Paper multi-nominee, and a two-time combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom — as well as a father of three and founder of Retro Sonic Records, his independent label that handles promotion, booking, and production.
This is the first of many new singles to release monthly, culminating in a full-length LP.
