Huk, the Charleston-founded leader in performance fishing apparel and footwear, is proud to kick off an all-American summer with local hometown fans as title sponsor of the Sport Fishing Championship (SFC) Carrier Cup presented by Huk - an elite, multi-day tournament and waterfront celebration taking place May 29 - 31 aboard the historic USS Yorktown at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum.
The weekend-long event spotlights SFC’s Atlantic Division professional angling clubs competing in three days of offshore fishing competition, with broadcasts originating live from the flight deck of the USS Yorktown — one of the most decorated aircraft carriers in United States Navy history.
The SFC Carrier Cup presented by Huk also officially launches the summer of the United States’ semiquincentennial with the“America 250 Summer Kickoff Concert” headlined by country music superstar Brian Kelley. Held on the flight deck of the USS Yorktown on Friday, May 29, the concert marks the first of Charleston’s America 250th anniversary celebrations with a moving tribute to the nation’s military community aboard one of the country’s most historic naval vessels.
