Lights & Love, a holiday celebration for families with children on the autism spectrum and other neurodiversities, will be held Sunday, Dec. 7, from 4 to 6 p.m. at The Oaks at Mount Pleasant Towne Centre. In partnership with Just Bee, the event offers a welcoming, low-stress environment where all children can enjoy the holiday season.
The evening features a full lineup of entertainment and activities for families. Children can enjoy face painting with Faces by Faith, balloon animals and glitter tattoos from Carol’s Balloon Art, fairy hair from The Sparkle Bar, a bounce house, arts and crafts, and pedal-powered spin art. Performances will include Kendall Cangelosi and the J2 Jugglers Show, along with visits from Anna and Elsa and Santa Claus. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from the Charleston RiverDogs food truck and Holy City Popcorn, with beer and wine provided by Burtons Grill & Bar.
Hosted by Jessica Chandler of 92.5 Kickin’ Country, with music from DJ Tantrum, Lights & Love creates a festive atmosphere where families can make memories and “celebrate the possibilities, not the disabilities.”
