Her Future Coalition, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to "break the cycle of poverty and exploitation, by providing education - and a full range of services that support education - to survivors and the most vulnerable girls," will host its 20th Anniversary Gala at The Wonderer on April 24th, 2025. The event will run from 5:30 pm to 9 pm.
Since 2005, Her Future Coalition has been working to ensure that survivors of trafficking and other forms of gender-based violence, and girls at high risk, have what they need to remain free, safe and independent. Their goal is to provide long term, intensive programs which address root causes and systemic injustice. The nonprofit's team includes three people that are local to Charleston.
Here's a look at the evening's schedule:
- 5:30 pm - Courtyard cocktails or rooftop sunset with live performance from violinist, Seth G
- 6:30 pm - Enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres and live chef paella station while listening to vocalist, Kanika Moore (Doom Flamingo and Motown Throwdown) and Friends
- 7:15 pm - Food, drink, and dancing intermission for toast and live auction with Erin Kenzie
- 7:45 pm - Dance to lively beats from female DJ Brandie and more from Kanika Moore and Friends
