The Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art invites the community to a morning of creativity and fun at its upcoming Family Day event on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The free, family-friendly event will feature hands-on art activities for all ages — including adults — inspired by the current exhibitions Kenny Nguyen: The Divine Eye and Raheleh Filsoofi: At the Edge of Arrival. Guests can enjoy complimentary coffee and healthy snacks while participating in activities such as story time, make-your-own stationery, clay sculpting, and house diorama building.
Heal with HeARTs will host a children’s drum circle throughout the morning, and local craft shop Craft-DIY will join the festivities with a special kids’ craft pop-up.
Family Day will take place in the Halsey Institute and Hill Exhibition Galleries. Admission is free and open to the public.
Visitors are also encouraged to explore the exhibitions, which remain on view through Dec. 6.
