Girls Who Paint (GWP) Murals, a female owned and operated business, will host the MELT Mural Festival in North Charleston, a first for the city.
Christine Crawford and Allison Dunavant, who created GWP Murals, provide murals to both commercial and residential clients regionally and nationwide, working in a wide variety of subject matters and styles. This year, they founded the MELT Mural Festival. The duo is currently vetting 6-10 artists/muralists to come in and create beautiful, creative murals on Reynolds Ave. in North Charleston. So far, they have secured walls by Rebel Taqueria, Crazy Dutchman Catering, and Closet Case.
Currently, they are seeking sponsors and donors to help make this project a success. If you'd like to make a donation, you can so through the Redux Contemporary Art Center, which is serving as the festival's sponsor.
You can find out more by following their Instagram @meltcharleston or visit their website www.gwpmurals.com.
