Local nonprofit Going Places will host its sixth annual gala on Friday, May 15, to support its mission of providing disadvantaged children with new, custom bicycles.
The Going Places Gala, presented by MassMutual South Carolina, will transform The Cedar Room at the Cigar Factory into an immersive setting featuring candlelight, floral design, marquee lighting and a 360 video photo booth. The event will bring together approximately 250 guests to help the organization reach its goal of distributing 2,500 bikes in 2026 across four low-income schools.
The evening will include a plated dinner, caviar tasting, cigar rolling, a garden-inspired cocktail wall, valet parking, live and silent auctions, an open bar and live music from Warrick McZeke.
Attire is black tie optional.
Tables are $3,000. Legacy Partner tickets (VIP admission for two) are $1,050. Sponsorships are available at various levels.
Going Places is also seeking additional auction items and experiences, offering participating businesses exposure during the event.
Those interested in tickets or sponsorship opportunities can visit goingplacesgala.org. To donate items or services, email Katie@GoingPlacesNonprofit.org . Those unable to attend can still support the organization at goingplacesnonprofit.charityproud.org/Donate.
The event is open to the public and is for adults only.
