GiGi’s Playhouse Charleston is excited to announce its inaugural “I Have a Voice” Gala, taking place Friday, July 19, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Charleston Marriott Hotel. This powerful evening celebrates the voices, talents, and achievements of individuals with Down syndrome, while raising vital funds to support free programming for the community.
This milestone event follows the grand opening of GiGi’s Playhouse Charleston’s physical location on May 17, 2025, which welcomed over 500 guests and marked a historic moment: the first GiGi’s Playhouse in the state of South Carolina. The outpouring of community support reflects the growing momentum behind GiGi’s mission to provide purposeful programs and to promote global acceptance for all.
Gala Highlights:
· Cocktail Reception with tray-passed hors d’oeuvres
· Elegant Plated Dinner prepared by the Charleston Marriott culinary team
· Live Auction led by professional auctioneer Dan Lyles, featuring once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences and exclusive packages
· Silent Auction with over 50 unique items donated by local businesses and supporters
· Exciting Raffles throughout the night

· Mission Moment including heartfelt stories from GiGi’s Playhouse participants and families
